I finally got my new webcam from eBay!! I ordered it over a month ago and thought it was coming from England but I just discovered that it was actually shipped from China!
I just love the package and kewl stamps!!
The size is pretty small as I’m sure you can see. The clip also works on the top of my laptop screen but is very stable as a self-standing mount. You may also notice two of the four LED’s that come with it. They emit a UV light for night vision duties!
Here’s a shot from the front with the flash off. You can see the UV light in the photo but I can’t see it with the naked eye. Believe me, the night vision portion works! I tested it this evening and was very impressed. Simply put, no matter what the lighting condition is, this webcam will work!
What’s more important, this is a USB 2.0 standard webcam. It’s still fairly difficult to find a USB 2.0 cam these days -at least not under $75. I paid less than $30 for this little baby -and the picture is just awesome. High resolution and very smooth. Now all I need is to find my headset and I’ll be able to use my PC for a picture phone over the web!
