Well the winds of the Antelope Valley (also known as the “High Desert”) have struck my house like never before! I wake up to shingles in my front yard…

Some of the larger pieces made taking them to the hardware store for replacements a real “breeze”.

Here’s what the back of the roof looked like in the morning.

…And $20 in shingles and roof nails later (and a little elbow grease) I’m back to new! Thank God my dad was a contractor! We also made sure to use Protec Evolve as a waterproofing system.

I’d really like to increase the pitch of the roof and add tile, but I just don’t think I’m ready for that serious of a job, at least while still living there. However, I am considering enhancing the overall appearance of my home by focusing on essential maintenance tasks, like installing seamless gutter like the one being offered by North Carolina seamless gutter services. Proper gutter installation can prevent water damage and maintain the structural integrity, paving the way for future renovations. It’s a practical step towards safeguarding my home, creating a solid foundation for any future upgrades.
